Updates for Feb 14th session
Classes cancelled for Feb 14th session
Due to ongoing limited snow conditions at The Summit, we’re continuing the alternating schedule among ski schools to manage the limited terrain and capacity. Since we operated last weekend, other ski school programs will run this Saturday. This rotation allows The Summit to spread available terrain across multiple programs while conditions remain limited.
We’ll continue to evaluate conditions week by week and communicate early each week about the following weekend’s status. As always, we remain hopeful that improved weather and snowfall will allow us to return to more regular operations. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this challenging snow year together.
Updates for Feb 7th session
We will be at Summit West for the Feb 7th session
The Summit is moving us again from Central to West because Central is closed for everyone until more snow comes. This is similar to what happened on Jan 24th, and we will be operating the same way as we did for that session. The positives of this move are –
✅ Fresh snow being made daily – West is getting consistent snowmaking, which means great conditions for the kids
✅ Terrain for all levels – West has varying terrain that will work for beginners through advanced skiers and snowboarders
✅ More available lifts – Much better than the limited terrain we would have had at Central. All lifts at West are currently running!
What’s Changing:
Our “Hut” Location: Similar to Jan 24th, we’ll be setting up our Safety operations hub on the bottom floor of the Slide-In lodge (AKA Timberwolf Lodge). This is where:
- Safety volunteers will be stationed
- You’ll pick up your child if you’re doing an early release
- Students can check in if they need assistance
- Slide-In/Timberwolf Lodge Address: Timberwolf Lodge, 69805 NF-9041, North Bend, WA 98045
- Important: Talk to Your Kids About This Change
Since this is new terrain for everyone, please talk to your child before Saturday so they’re prepared and understand that we won’t be at our usual Central location. Let them know:
We’re skiing at West only this weekend. The remainder of Snoqualmie is closed to our students. The meeting spot is at the Slide-In lodge (bottom floor)
Everything else stays the same:
- Same bus pickup times and locations at Highland
- Same drop-off and pickup times
- Same great instructors and volunteers
- Same amazing BSS experience!

Updates for Jan 31st session
Classes cancelled for Jan 31st session
Due to the challenging snow conditions this season, The Summit at Snoqualmie has implemented an alternating schedule among ski schools to manage limited terrain and capacity. Since we operated on Jan 24th, other ski school programs will operate this Saturday Jan 31st, while its our turn to pause. This rotation allows The Summit to spread available terrain across multiple programs while conditions remain limited. Also, this limits the number of people on Summit West so that the lift lines are manageable for all people coming to enjoy the mountain. Last weekend was amazing for our students because half of the other ski schools were asked to not teach that day. We feel we got lucky because last Saturday had AMAZING weather and was a blue bird day.
What This Means for Our Season:
We know this is frustrating—we’re frustrated too! We’re all eager to enjoy snowy runs this season.
Here’s what you need to know:
Your Investment is Protected: We budgeted for one makeup day this season, (which is now earmarked from our last cancellation). Refunds will be issued at the end of the season based on the overall program cost after fixed operational expenses, not on individual session pricing.
We’re Monitoring Conditions Closely: Weather forecasts show potential snowfall in the coming weeks. We’re in regular contact with The Summit and will resume our regular schedule as soon as conditions allow.
Next Steps:
- We’ll communicate at the earliest we can next week about the following weekend’s status
- Your registration remains active. You don’t need to do anything
- Everyone should be doing their snow dance! We need all the luck we can get
Stay With Us:
We understand the uncertainty is challenging, especially with excited kids at home! This is an unusually difficult snow year, but we’ve operated successfully through variable conditions for decades. When the snow comes, we’ll be ready to give your student(s) the amazing BSS experience they deserve.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this together. We’re committed to providing the quality program you’ve come to expect from Bellevue Ski School.
